Asclepion Genetics, based on a unique know how, aims to provide a one stop worldwide solution for customized genetic diagnostics and pharmacogenetics to private and public customers.

Asclepion Genetics is based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The recent completion of the sequencing of the human genome was one of the most crucial milestones of modern medicine.

Medicine is rapidly entering the era of the human genome. Early diagnostics based on molecular testing will diminish the overall cost of healthcare and will increase the quality of life of patients and of people with genetic predisposition to diseases.

Asclepion and Analysi launched the first one stop shop for Genetic Diagnostics in Greece

Asclepion and Analysi announced, on the 1st of June 2007, the launching of a unique for Greece one stop shop platform for Genetic Diagnostics.

Asclepion launched new Tools for the Scientific and Medical Community

ΑAΒΤ*MedCard: The AABTMedcard relies on smart card technology in order to store and retrieve medical data. Stored data include: personal data, emergency data (e.g. blood type, past infections, allergies etc.), contacts, and other data of the patient file that are accessible only via PIN. The card is accompanied with an application that reads/writes cards, accesses patient data from the patient database and updates patient records.

AABTGen: The AABTGen is a software tool that allows storage and retrieval of the genetic profile of a patient, which for each patient is stored in the ΑAΒΤMedCard system. AABTGen performs searches in genetic databases and identifies similarities between the genetic material of the patient and the genetic material that is linked to common or rare genetic diseases.

AABTProt: The AABTProt tool is a prototype piece of software that utilizes the protein related resources recorded in the patient’s personal medical record, with the use of the AABTMedCard system. AABTProt, invokes protein clustering techniques in order to identify whether given proteins of the patient’s organism belong to a certain protein family of those recorded in the protein database of rare or common diseases. Thereby, we offer an innovative method to diagnose the potential occurrence of rare diseases.
